Tim Schantz Memorial Scholarship

Tim was an Iowa birder and a member of the IOU and the Iowa Records Committee before leaving for Alaska and success as a tour guide. He died suddenly in May of 2001. His family has established an annual scholarship in his name to provide an aspiring ornithology student an opportunity to participate in one of Tim's passions - the Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival in Homer, Alaska.
