Acknowledgements & Awards

First and foremost, a huge thank you to Paul Hertzel for the wonderful artwork you see in the banners and elsewhere in the web pages.  Nothing beats some tasteful graphics to enhance a website.

The photo of the Red-tailed Hawk, which adorns our home page banner, was taken by Wayne Nicholas who photographed and counted hawks at Hitchcock Nature Center in 2001; he now lives in Texas.

Reid Allen has been the chief Macintosh tester to make sure we haven't shut out a percentage of our audience.  He and Jay Gilliam uploaded photos to help test the functionality of our exciting new photo gallery.  The IOU Publications Committee has not only been supportive to this massive effort but has provided good feedback and suggestions.

Bob Norris, my former officemate, and Patrick Harrison, the Missouri Audubon webmaster, have been invaluable as I learn some new technologies and integrate them into our web site.  Without them as sounding boards for bouncing ideas and getting some coding guidance, I may still be back in the dark ages!

Last, but certainly far from least, the IOU membership has been fantastic about jumping in and trying new things and providing feedback when things aren't working precisely as they were intended.  This website belongs to you all and has evolved over the years because of you.  Keep sending those comments in!
