In order to keep dues reasonable, the IOU depends on donated dollars for many of its activities.  The Publications Enhancement Fund provides a portion or the annual operating budget for Iowa Birdlife, IOU News, the IA-BIRDS listserve, and this web site.  The Projects Committee may ask the membership for donations for a designated project such as habitat purchase.  If you prefer, donations may be made to the general fund for allocation to the areas where the Board of Directors feels they are most needed.  Logging in will record your donation and you will be able to retrieve a statement for tax purposes.  The IOU is a 501(c)(3) private, non-profit corporation.  If your employer provides matching dollars for your contributions, please contact the treasurer.
